Debris Catcher

My client had experienced problems with general flooding due to this river passage becoming blocked with debris during the stormier winter months.

I produced the pictured debris catcher which I understand to be a great success.

I had to take into account that there were no side fixings available due to the lack of a  wall on one side and poor condition of the existing stone wall.

Whilst the stub wall would accept a vertical load, the bottom of the framework would need supporting.

This was achieved by machining of the legs to facilitate full adjustment to allow contact with the bed of the river.

A further secure fixing was made via the back plate int the concrete slab that existed.

The entire construction was made a little trickier due to poor access, resulting in the completed job being fabricated in two halves in order to ease installation.
