Well what a job this was, brilliant.

The pulper is a critical part of the clients process and there was no back up should the duty gearbox fail.

An old one was obtained with the intention to produce a good stand by in case of failure.

The box was stripped to inspect the condition, whilst not perfect it was worthy of a rebuild to serve as a spare unit.

The old bearings were pressed off and it was all given a thorough clean. 

All bearings and seals replaced with new and the clearances were checked. Shims were added where necessary to provide correct running clearances.

Finally she was give a lick of paint.

​

Shafts were protected with a smear of grease for protection and it was placed into storage.
