The photographs show a typical situation where I was requested to attend site and perform maintenance to the rolls on this particular machine.

The roll was extracted from the machine via the universal beam system that I had developed. It was then stripped to inspect the condition of the bearings. Clearly there had been water ingress to the bearings and so they were changed.

The new bearings were fitted and they were taken up to the recommended clearance. Bearing houses were replaced in their identical positions prior to disassembly. The roll was then returned to the machine.

This work is a typical example of a site visit with a requested task.
