Welding and Fabrication
Welding to a very high standard can be performed on most materials. Whilst I specialise in TIG, I am comfortable in MIG and MMA.

Further to my engineering apprenticeship, I gained my welding competence through further education and welding components to MOD specification.
I undertook more education that gave me a good understanding of the effects of heat on metals and the metallurgical properties.

The demand for even tighter control of my welding resulted in more education that I completed at the Welding Institute in Cambridge.
On completion of my education, I passed my testing and was able to weld to an avionic specification. This standard of welding required tight control and I was regularly assessed to ensure I conformed to the stringent standards.
By this time I was welding to very high standards. I needed to be be able to police my own work.
I again went back to the class room where I became competent in Non Destructive Testing, (NDT).
Now I am self employed, I have no requirement to maintain my coding to this standard, but rest assured, any welding that I perform will be completed to a very good standard.
